For a description of the modules in the Device Extensions package, see the OS/8 Device Extensions User's Guide (AA-D319A-TA). _____________________________________ These release notes describe features of the Device Extensions package not covered in the User's Guide. ____________ This manual also provides information on the use of the Device Extensions under OS/78. 2.0 THE RX02 DEVICE OS/8 software support for the RX02 device is described in the OS/8 ____ Device Extensions User's Guide. ______________________________ RX02 handlers are 2-page handlers. In assembly-language programs, make sure you have allowed for this. The RX02 handlers can be used only on PDP8/A/E/M omnibus machines or DECstations. Table 1 provides additional information on the RX02 diskette and device handlers. Although RXCOPY does its own I/O, it needs the handler entry points to sort out unit numbers. 2.2 Using RX02 With OS/78 To place OS/78 V2 on an RX02 double-density diskette for use as the system device, use the following sequence of steps. 1.
